Course Description
Upon successful completion of this course, each student will be physically educated. More specifically, each student will know the benefits from involvement in physical activity, value physical activity and its contributions to a healthy lifestyle and will have learned the skills necessary to perform a variety of physical activities.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will understand key information and concepts related to
unintentional injury prevention, violence and suicide prevention, and the promotion of mental, social, and emotional health. In addition, each student will take part in Project Alert, an 11-lesson unit that focuses on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention.
